Guy was a founding partner
of Momentum in 2002.
Educated in the UK, his
career started with
Haymarket Publishing before
joining FCB. During the
early eighties Guy joined a
specialist marcoms agency,
IMC, working on a variety of
clients such as Kellogg’s,
HJ Heinz, Coca Cola and
Kimberly-Clark.
In 1990, he moved to
establish an office in
Dubai. During this time his
career focused increasingly
on public relations and
public affairs, working
closely with the local
media, NGOs and government
ministries around the Gulf.
Guy has successfully written
and produced several
education programmes. These
include a nutrition
programme for Kellogg’s,
which is now embedded into
Saudi Arabia’s primary
school curriculum and runs
annually in more than 7,000
schools. A physical activity
programme for Master Foods
is enjoying similar success.
At Momentum Guy serves as
the general manager of the
business and actively runs a
number of accounts. These
include a broad range of
industries, from leisure
real estate to corporate,
and from consumer goods to
charitable works.

Ben was instrumental in the
formation of Momentum in
2002 and has worked in
marketing communications for
12 years, with at least 9
years experience in the
Middle East. He has an MBA
(Thesis: Sports sponsorship)
and a diverse range of
industry experience,
including travel and
hospitality, IT, finance,
FMCG and entertainment.
Early in his career he
worked on CSR projects with
Master Foods managing the
sponsorship activities of
several Asian Football Cups,
working on developing the
pet care channel and more
recently he has been
involved with implementing a
web based Ministry of
Education endorsed
pan-regional programme
targeted at schools, to help
encourage physical activity
for the emerging youth of
the GCC.
Before joining Momentum Ben
worked in a London based new
media agency at the height
of the dot com revolution
and has also worked on the
client side in the Telecoms
industry, supporting the
global roll out of SMS text
messaging technology. Aside
from public relations Ben
has experience in
advertising and event
organization, which combine
well when working on
accounts such as Electronic
Arts, which embrace all the
elements of the
communications mix. Ben has
worked with leading IT
clients such as Microsoft,
HP and AMD since the early
days of his career and is
rapidly gaining experience
in the fast developing
finance industry with
clients such as E*Trade and
Zurich International Life
accounts, and has recently
managed Egypt’s second
largest IPO announcement
across the region for the
Talaat Moustafa Group. His
all round project management
and implementation skills
make him a very reliable and
experienced member of the
client servicing team.

Sonja Ohly is a Partner and
Director in Momentum and has
over 25 years experience in
the communications industry
in the region. Sonja is
German and studied Islamic
Studies and Political
Economics at the Justus
Liebig University, Giessen,
before locating to the UAE
in 1978.
During her career in
communications, Sonja has
advised several hospitality
and travel industry clients.
Her profound knowledge of
the industry stems from her
growing up in the family
owned hotel near Frankfurt
am Main, Germany, and
running her own travel
agency bringing the first
German tourists to Sharjah
in 1979.
The IT industry is another
sector of particular
interest to her, as she
worked closely with
Microsoft, Compaq, HP and
AMD. Sonja managed the
Authorised Replicator
Business for Microsoft in
the Middle East. She also
witnessed the merger between
Compaq and HP and has been
working with HP for the last
12 years across the MENA
region.
Sonja is a founding member
in Momentum and during her
25 years in communications
she has gained in-depth
knowledge of the economical
and political scenarios in
the Middle East. Sonja was
married to a member of the
royal family of Sharjah and
has 4 adult sons.

Eiluned Castree is a Partner
and Director in Momentum and
has over 25 years experience
in the communications
industry in the region.
Eiluned is British and
studied Special Education in
the UK, working both in
Bristol and London before
moving to the Middle East in
1970.
During her career in
communications, Eiluned has
worked closely with
hospitality and travel
industry clients as well as
international fmcg brands
throughout the region.
Eiluned has initiated and
help develop several
consumer and trade channel
awareness programmes
including the Dubai Dog
Show, K9 Friends and was a
founder member of The
Emirates Environment Group.
Within the Momentum
management team Eiluned is
responsible for HR.

Rhonda’s career spans nearly
20 years in the exhibitions
and event industry. Much of
this has been spent running
some of the world’s largest
and most challenging trade
fairs in the Gulf and South
East Asia.
After joining the operations
department of Fairs &
Exhibitions in the early
nineties, she undertook
responsibility for numerous
major events and within a
few years became the
company’s director of
operations, working on no
less than 8 editions of the
Dubai Air Show. She was also
involved in the development
of new shows such as IDEX,
the international Military
Show ( Abu Dhabi), Rebuild
Lebanon (Beirut), QSI (Doha,
Qatar), Arab Health and
Dentistry and Middle East
Electricity to name but a
few. Rhonda also worked
regularly in London, Paris
and Singapore.
From F&E, Rhonda joined IIR
Middle East as Operations
Director for Cityscape
Dubai, Abu Dhabi and China,
Middle East Electricity, the
Bride Shows Dubai and Abu
Dhabi. During her time with
IIR, Rhonda had the
opportunity to work
alongside the conference
department and as a result
gained valuable experience
and an insight to the world
of conferences.
Team management and
communication, customer
relations and on the spot
trouble shooting are just a
few of the many facets of
organizing a successful
event, Rhonda’s many years
experience in the business
have given her the skills to
take on any project and
guide it to a successful
conclusion.
More recently Rhonda joined
Momentum to run her own
enterprise, offering her
wealth of experience to a
variety of clients on a
consultancy basis. In
addition to the event
services provided, she
serves as a mentor and
trainer to various trade
fair organizers in the
region.
